The Building Is the Message

As part of the vision for its new Cheongna, Korea headquarters—designed by NBBJ—Hana Bank invited ESI to extend an interior media story outward. Our response: what if the building itself became the canvas?
From the below-grade arrival to the rooftop park, a seamless media ecosystem unfolds—portals, lenses, and sculptural activations that pulse with life. Each moment turns data into emotion, translating Hana’s digital identity into an ever-evolving experience.

Across the campus, digital interventions guide a cinematic ascent. Layered exterior media wraps the main headquarters building in light, transforming it into a living signal. In a sunken garden, light and motion introduce Hana’s brand DNA. In the lobby, an oculus visualizes real-time investments, while kinetic lenses in the atrium shift and merge with daylight. Along ramps that traverse the building, glowing sculptural frames draw visitors upward. At the top, an interactive sculpture anchors the park—a luminous point of gathering and reflection.
In addition to the Cheongna headquarters, ESI designed media interventions for Hana Bank’s Seoul offices, including its trading floor.

Asked to create a bold, skyline-defining expression of Hana's story, ESI extended this language outward—scaling transformation from the trading floor to the facade.
